ABOUT the designer + BRAND
In 2017, House Dogge Owner and Designer, Angela Medlin, saw an opportunity to evolve her passion project into an artisanal dog product brand. Unable to find quality designed dog products for her Olde English BullDOGGE, Wubbi, the creative problem solver unpacked the inspiration she had been collecting from years of world travel and vintage shopping to solve this dilemma. As a 25 year career designer in the global apparel industry, Angela is no stranger to innovating product. She utilizes her extensive design experience to design and source premium, sustainable, nontoxic material for the House Dogge toys and accessories that have quickly become favorites in high end home interior stores, dog boutiques, and design specialty shops.
Creating comfortable home spaces and products that support our four legged family members has always been top of mind for the House Dogge Brand. The small batch collections continue to evolve prioritizing comfort, sustainability, and modern simplicity.
In 2018, Wubbi, the original House Dogge that inspired the brand, was diagnosed with Lymphoma. After a happy 7 years of life, Wubbi continues to inspire the brand in spirit. The brand aims to spread happiness to the homes of other deserving pups and their beautiful people. House Dogge supports the NW Dog Project, a small non-profit in Oregon dedicated to rescuing homeless, unwanted, neglected, and/or abused dogs. This organization is saving lives and bringing the spark of happiness back to these amazingly resilient dogs. Wubbi would have liked that a lot. :)
Angela is a lifelong creative (apparel design, art, interiors, and textiles). Her 25 year career as a professional Apparel Designer and Design Director for global companies include Nike, Adidas, The North Face, and Levi Strauss & Co. and more. The prolific creative currently runs House Dogge and is, also, the Founder of FAAS (The Functional Apparel & Accessories Studio -advanced design educational program). FAAS partners with Pensole Footwear Academy in Portland, Oregon to usher in the next generation of highly skilled, diverse product designers and creative problem solvers.
